Pages, Pockets

The lifespan of cultural property is limited. Harmful climatic and mechanical influences can significantly accelerate the natural degradation process. Collections are particularly sensitive to pollutants in unsuitable packaging in which they are stored. Therefore, only use archiving materials that are demonstrably stable over the long term and safe for archiving. This applies particularly to pages, bags and envelopes, which are usually in direct contact with the archived material.
